Rancho Pacifico is conveniently located just 38 minutes from
San Jose by regional flights - or about 3.5 hours by van or car.
Roads from San Jose are all paved and in very good condition.
From San Jose:
Rancho Pacifico is located in Uvita, about 100 miles from the capital
city of San Jose, just outside of Dominical, on the Pacific Ocean.
There are three options for getting there:
1. You can rent a car in San Jose and drive to Uvita - about 3.5 hours.
It is a beautiful drive over the Central Mountain range on a two lane
mountain road - it is all paved.
San Jose by regional flights - or about 3.5 hours by van or car.

From San Jose:

2. You can take a beautiful, short flight on SANSA OR NATUREAIR AIRLINES directly to Palmar, a town just 20 miles south of Rancho
Pacifico. At this writing, the daily flight from San Jose depart 9:30 AM and arrives 10:10. The flight path heads to Quepos and then
turns left for a dramatic coast hugging route south. If easy is what you are looking for, you will arrive in San Jose, spend a comfortable
night near the airport and fly down to RP the next morning; we will pick you up at the airport in Palmar. Cost is $135/pp - each way.
3. We will arrange pick up in a tour van in San Jose - it can hold up to 6 passengers. Ypu may then use our taxi service for local
excursions while you are at Rancho Pacifico - or rent a car for a day or more directly from us. Cost is $200 each way per party - up to 6.
Returning to the U.S.
It is best to try to get an afternoon or evening departure from San Jose. The flight from Palmar to San Jose is around 10:15 AM and
arrives around 11:00. If your return flight to the states is early, you will probably want to leave Rancho Pacifico in the morning either by
car, van or by the afternoon flight from Quepos (35 miles from Rancho Pacifico).

If you do not rent a car in San Jose you can rent a car directly through Rancho Pacifico for use during part or
