UPDATE:
As Trip Advisor matures going into its 3rd year, Hotel Mgt Journals are informing hotels of significant changes.
Primarily, in the first 18 months many (most) guests excitedly shared their mostly positive experiences.
"Today, guests seem to have lost their enthusiasm for touting a property's virtues, prefferring instead to use TA
as a forum to vent anger and as a potential "refund tool".

We find it interesting as well - Only about 20% (12) of the current reviews for RP have been written in the last
12 months.  While other hotels actively solicit their guests to write, we do not.  As a result, while our overall
score remains the same, our standings have slipped due to lack of new reviews. As we have hosted over 400
parties this past year, at least 388 did not write a review.

We have another venue - it is our in house guest book.  In it are hundreds of comments from guests - all
positive.  We have found that a guest who testimonializes their stay in our guest book NEVER turns around and
"slams" the hotel.  So, while a read of the book makes RP sound like a fairy tale come true - it has proven to
be a far more accurate assessment of the guest's real, overalll experience.

Comments from the guest book appear as written on most pages on our website and many are collected on our
e-Guestbook page for all to see.
