The main road south from San Jose is
the Pan American Highway - a two lane
paved road that winds its way up, over
and down the Central Mountain Range
(see heavy green line on map)
From San Isidro, you get off this
highway and begin a 16 mile leg on a
two lane paved road downhill to
Dominical (see red line on map).
A left turn in Dominical puts you on the
Costanerra (a newly paved 2 lane road
that hugs the coast) - from there it is 8
miles to Uvita.
